I really considered it but I decided to leave them, I like them.

I just bought the Xenon bulbs from EBAY today high and low beam. A steal @ $9.95 plus 9 bucks for shipping.
OK, educate me - are those the "blue" looking headlights (when turned on, at night).

Yes they are. The Charger I saw not only had the headand fog lamps the interior was lit up blue also. The head and fog lamps are Xenon bulbs not a hard find. But the interior was what I really admired. It looked really cool but I am not about to take a part my dash.

I am hoping someone posts to this and say what bulbs and where etc to do.

Having worked a lot of years on graveyard shifts, I'm serious about the lighting systems on my vehicles.

I really love the HIDs on my wife's 300m Special, especially now that I got them aimed correctly. I went with Xenon Whites for high and low beams on my Charger and they work pretty good. Not quite as good as the HID's but then again, the HID's are projected rather than reflected beams. When turned on, the Xenon whites glow more white than the standard halogen yellowish beams. They are also more powerful (80w lo, 100w hi) than standard bulbs so you get more light output over a broader spectrum. Make sure you have a good aim on you lights when you do this. When they are off, the reflectors pick up the blue color of the filter coating which looks cool with the Midnight Blue color of the car. I'm waiting for Sylvania to release the SilverStar replacements for the fog lamps.

One thing to check out, in some areas like mine, blue colored headlights are illegal. Since mine glow white, the color is OK. Of course the 80 and 100 watts aren't, but if you aim them properly, it isn't real obvious so you aren't as likely to get hassled.

I upgraded the high beams on my wife's car to the Xenon whites and her fogs to SilverStars and the results are an awesome combination with her HIDs. Ya wanna hit me with your high beams - go ahead, make my day[sm=crossbonesgif.gif].

I want to replace the headlamp lights out for the xenon blue diamond ones also but can anyone tell me the part number for them so I dont have to tear into the lights but once to change them? I want the really intense blue lights that show up a true white at night not the dull looking yellow most vehicles sport.

Just reading through your post about wanting Sylvania Silverstar Fogs, and I have them. The model is 9145ST from Sylvania. In my area they are a special order but I got them from eBay.

Not a bad price too and they work great! I am just waiting on the Sylvania Hi's and Low's I ordered. 9005XSST and 9006XSST. If you go to the Sylvania website, you can lookup your car model and it will tell you every kind of bulb you need for the entire car. Inside and out. Check it out!

Mopar uses 9005XS bulbs for high beams and 9006XS for low beams. When you look for replacement/upgrade bulbs be sure to get the XS's rather than the plain 9005/6 bulbs. the XS's have a straight connector while the others are 90 degrees. If you get the wrong one, you can't get the plug on once you install the bulbs. If you can't find a listing for the Charger, use the part listing for the Magnum or 300C. I have Street Glow Xenon Whites s in my cars but there are a number of lighting manufacturors to choose from. Sylvania has their SilverStars which come closest to HID white but they only come in standard 55/60 wattages and they're $$$$. I used those in my wife's fogs because of the wattage limitation of the light assembly itself (probably a heat thing). I've been running 80/100w bulbs in my '68 Brand "C" pickup using Hella H4 conversion lenses for over 20 years (I'm on my second set of lenses, the first set only lasted 16 years) and nobody has flashed me with my lows on. Just aim them right and you can see further without blinding other drivers. On high beams, it's like high noon in front of me.

Oh yeah, when you put the bulbs in, wipe down the glass capsule with alcohol to remove any dirt and oil and be sure not to touch the glass with your fingers. The oil will cause the glass to heat unevenly and eventually fail (explode). It says so right in the instruction sheet if you can read Spanish, Japanese, German, French etc.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. When I checked in May they were to be "released soon" and I haven't had the chance to check back. Time to bug my parts guy. Now all the lights will match.[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Hi BigBananna3796of4000

Moved to Austin about 3 months ago. Loving it. Have only seen one top banana. Have you gotten LEDs for your interior? I want to add bright LEDs.
