Default super white head lamp bulbs

This might sound stupid but how do you change the bulbs (hi and low beams) in the 2006 charger?

Is it as easy as just pull them out from the back?

Yes it is just that easy. Changed mine out the other day for Sylvania Silverstars. You just pop the hood, reach around behind the lights, twist to unlock and pull. Use a screwdriver or other tool to lift the tab and pull the bulb out. Then simply push the new bulb into the socket, and reverse the process of removing them to reinstall them.

Ensure that you do NOT touch the bulb's glass surface on neither the old (because you might need backups) nor the new as the oil from your hands will cause the glass to heat unevenly and will shorten their lifespan greatly. I use rubber gloves when handling them, yet am still VERY carefull not to touch the bulb at all.

Here is a good write-up from a fellow Magie owner, not sure how applicable to the Charger it is. Good side information as well.

Great article.

So I do have to dismantle some stuff under the hood. Seems pretty easy.

I haven't changed my bulbs so can't really say from experience. Will try to drum up some more info on it.

Heck, by the time this thread is done I might change mine out. There are some cool looking lights out there that dress up the car for the night runs.

blade_boy1 got it, good catch, Thanks!

I went out for a break and check mine out. Since I don't have the OEM airbox it was simple to check the driver’s side. Twisted counter clockwise and it came right out twisted clockwise and it was right back in.

Thanks again blade_boy1, I'll do as you said on the side note about hand oil!

Check Ebay I bought mine for $9.99 a bad price. Total out the door was $19 with shipping.

Now that I'm not bulb challenged it's time to do this mod.

Well I didn't but I don't have the OEM airbox. I don't think you can get to it without taking off the airbox. I didn't look at the passanger side but will do that when I get home today.
