I read up on mobile 1: Standard Mobile 1 stated go by the owners manual. Mobile 1 "extended performance" states 15000 between changes, more homework to do... how proud are they of that "extended performance" stuff.

Need to research how much those oil analysis cost. Our company changes oil in their equipment when an oil analysis result shows them it’s time to. Guess when you putting 45 gals of oil into a piece of equipment you want it to last as long as possible. Scales of economy kick in at that level.

Midnight Blue, your absolutely right “Oil is still cheaper than motors”. Another 3000 has gone by; I bought oil/filter yesterday and am changing my oil today!

When I bought my Daytona, the dealer included 3 years of Oil Changes (I know it wasn't free but it was included in the deal)
so its changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles at the dealer for me.

I have 5 Dodge Grand Caravans for my company and I use Mobil 1 and go 10-15k per oil change. I use Valvoline oil filters. I also put synthetic in the Charger when I got it home. One of my vans has over 350k on it and runs like a champ. Total milage with all five vans is over 1 million miles. I have only used Mobil 1 or Valvoline synthetic motor oils!! I believe in Synthetic!!!

Wow, changing every 3k????

I used to do 6k service intervals on the Scooby (or every 6 month) and that was very often compare to other makers going between 10-15k intervals.
The only car which has service sooner (over here though ) is the Mitsu EVO and that’s at 4k.
