GTO vs. Charger
I have a motor trend (Dec 05) that compared the SRT-8 and the GTO. The GTO was faster by .03 in the 0-60, dead even to 70 at 6.2 and .02 in the 1/4. Thats with a 6 speed against an auto and a family sedan that is 600 pounds more. The base price as tested was 3600 bucks more for the charger. That being said, you get alot more car for the money with the Charger and the 6.1 Hemi has alot of power to be released as opposed the GTO .
Plus the SRT-8 will hold it value alot better than the GTO.

My point is you don't have to rebuild the top of the motor spend thousand of dollars. The hemi will release craploads of power with a CAI, better exaust and a programmer.
I don't know about you but i'm not real fond of rebuilding a new car for more power.
