Well, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna take the R/T to the strip Saturday night and see what she'll do. Have to remember, though, that the track is over 5300' high, so the altitude is gonna kill it some. But we'll see what it'll do.

Any hints/suggestions? I'm going to have the rear tires at about 28 psi, and the front about 40-45. I'm going to try it in "D", and in "manual" mode as well. I may try it reprogrammed to "stock" settings, but the JET Stage 2 chip will still be in it. Then, I can reprogram to 91 octane and see what, if any, difference there is.

Sounds like fun.
I just went to my first ever drag race Labor Day. There was a new track built here 2 years ago - I finally made it over there.

It's been many, many moons since I have been, to race. I know I'll be pretty rusty, but yeah, it should be fun.

Dave, they may not appreciate you bringing along your smoke bombs to light under the back of the car at the track. Sure I know it is hard to look cool at altitude, but....

I'm all out of smoke bombs. Have to wait til next July to get some more, I guess .

Not planning on lighting up any anyway. Just enough to clean the tires off. I have no idea how traction will be, but I'll bet I find out REAL quick

Dave,

Ok. You know your assignment. Jet chip only, make a run. Jet chip with superchip, make a run. If possible, and if you have time, put it to stock and make a run. After you post the differences, you can stop A LOT of this bla-bla we've been reading...

Mostly, have FUN.

That's what I want to do. I'll put it back to stock program and make a run or two (depending on how many people are actually there and how quickly they get things going) with the JET chip and stock setting. Then, I'll program it to 91 octane and make a couple runs. If I have time, I'll take out the JET chip and set it to stock. But I want to get a good run with it "fully loaded". I should have about 1/4 tank of 91 octane. Wonder if it would hurt to dump a full bottle of 104+ octane booster into a 1/4 tank. Any ideas on that?

Wanna try to see how accurate the superchips data logger is compared to actual time traps? Just leave it plugged in and pick what distance you are running at the track and it will start as soon as you start rolling, then we could all compare your results to see how it well it works.
