Crazy??!!
Call me crazy but my car seems to run better with the ESP off. I have the JC2 and SC but when I turn on the ESP it just doesn't run like it does with it off. Once again maybe Im crazy??!! Well maybe HAL has trained itself to run better with ESP off. Oh well, still kicks a$$!!
Ok... your CRAZY! [sm=smiley29.gif]
LOL
You know it seems these cars are not all made the same. Some exhibit behavior that others will never see. For example throttle calibration has been mystifying to some and kick booty to others. I chalk these mysteries under the go-figure category.

i think your right hal has an evil genius side i believe it has started to adapt to me know if i gun it a little tires start spinning
....i think that personally the car hides 20 percent of its power and only gives it up when hal thinks you like that extra over the top power just my opinion.

chargin69,
khurst posted a question about what versions of software are being used by us. Only three people replied, most had 4.05 versions, I had the 4.06 version.
My throttle response is fine and I haven't had some of the issues as others.
Just my .02 worth.

I think that some of the perceived differances may be related to the software versions. But to be sure we need more info, people who are running the 4.06 version don't seem to experience the throttle responce problem that those of us running the 4.05 are having. I have tried to "calibrate" hal using the slow pedal down and up method but have had no noticable improvment. However, mine does seem to run a little better with the ESP off. If we can get more people to reply with there software version and answer a few basic questions we may be able to see if there are differances in performance based on the software version.
To check software version: Press and hold the steering wheel compass and music note buttons for 6 secounds then scroll through untill you see the software version screen.
Basic performace Questions:
1. Are you experiencing delayed throttle responce at normal operating temp (1-2 secound delay); At idle in park and from a stop in drive.
(the delay was even more apperant after driving my friends 05 Dodge RAM 1500 with a HEMI the trucks do not seem to have this problem a all)
2. From a stop(in a safe location), will the car turn the tires over on dry pavement with ESP off at normal operating temp (In Drive, with-out power braking/power shifting and not while turning).
3. Does the car seem to have more "pep" with ESP off.
Thanks, KHurst

very interesting i think this subject should have its own thread but ive got amazingly enough version 4.07 and all that data what the heck do they all mean ?
to answer your questions
1 at first a delay but has steadly decreased and by know is almost none existant
2 tires do know peel on dry pavement
3 havent been able to tell but the difference might be unnoticed
