Could this be the high speed engine controller that the daytona and performance group come with that adds the 10 extra HP? And what is the tranny upgrade?

 

HI THERE EVRYONE GOT OF THE PHONE WITH JEFF AT MOPAR PERFORMANCE SUPER CENTER VERY INFORMATIVE FELLOW.HERE IS THE SCOOP THERE PUTTING TOGETHER A PERFORMANCE PACKAGE ,WHICH IS GOING TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
1 PCM CONTROLLER
2 TRANNY CHIP WHICH HE SAYS UPGRADES THE TRANNY SHIFTING ETC
3 TORQUE MANAGER
4 CAMSHAFT 2 TYPES 1 IS FOR 5.7 ENGINES W/O THE MDS AND THE 2ND WITH THE MDS
THEN THE REMAINING PACKAGE INCLUDES HEADERS CATBACK CAI BUT IF YOU HAVE THEM ALREADY NO NEED.BUT THE BAD NEWS IS THE CAMSHAFT WILL ELIMINATE THE MDS ROLLERS ARE INCLUDED.AS FAR AS THE WARRANTY GOES [:'(] NO WARRANTY IS HONORED WITH THERE PARTS MIND YOU ALL THESE PARTS ARE MOPAR NOT TOMMY FROM DOWN THE BLOCK.BUT HE ALSO STATED THAT DEALERS ARE DIFFERENT FROM PLACE TO PLACE AND IF YOU BUY THE MOPAR STUFF AND HAVE DODGE INSTALL THEM AND THE DEALER IS MOD FRIENDLY YOU MAY NOT HAVE A PROBLEM BUT THATS NO GUARANTEE.I WILL DO IT BUT IM GONNA HAVE DODGE DO THE INSTALL, SO IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG,MY ARGUMENT WOULD BE HEY ITS YOUR PARTS YOU INSTALLED,NO GUARANTEE OF COURSE BUT MAKES THE ARGUMENT BETTER.OH THE TRANNY AND PCM MODULES JEFF STATES WILL ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR THE JETCHIP AND SUPERCHIP.OF COURSE I CANT CONFIRM THAT YET.

 

oh by the way i was also told that the tranny module ,torque controller,camshafts and pcm controller wont be available for a month .something about some packing company in michigan there not on the website yet but will be in about 3-4 weeks

 

nice job on the info but as a 3 time harley onwer I will bet its not covered. Harley said the same thimg on my 04 SE but guess what NO DEAL. The problem is once the item leaves the dealer and it's modified even with factory parts NO DEAL on warrenty. If the dealer is does the work prior to the car / bike leaveing the dealership on date of pickup. The dealer can stand by his work if he wants. Thats why those parts state not legal on cars for 50 states and raceing only. Its an EPA thing, I found out the hard way. Bought a SE 104 and had the dealer put some mods on it and the part was bad and caused problems . he dealer made good on the bad part only all the rest of the work I ate. after contacting HD they explained any part that is not street leagle and changes the way it was set up when it left the factory for EPA standers is not covered. CAMSHAFT, PROM , ect.... hope I did not rain on your thunder imjust gong by my problemwith HD.

Remember that thread were someone (I think it was Heat Performance) would flash the TCM with the Mercedes flash to improve Tranny performance. I wonder if that's the tranny upgrade.

 

yep once you deviate from the factory it losses its warranty ,jeff at mopar supercenter said there dealership will honor mods but cannot guarantee other dealerships .yes jeff also told me that all mopar parts even though are mopar come with no implyed or expresed warranty at all.so it boils down to your local dealership if its a good one youll do fine,if there thieves well you get the picture.scamp it maybe just that but untill someone gets it and tries it out there will be no way to tell.

im assuming this stuff will work on the trucks too...i love a muscle car just as much as anybody but im a truck guy to be honest and ive only got a 4.7 now but im planning on a big 4x4 hemi for my next one and would love to have all these parts on it. do yall think theyll fit since there isnt any real difference between the hemi truck engines and the charger engines?

 

Your probably on the right track, there isn't much difference between the two engines. Autostick shifting is probably the only difference in the drive train <edit> at least on the 2WD version.
