DMH e cut outs
Cool, the x-h pipe is debatable and can get very deep and technical.
On the dumps/cutouts where did you install yours? Did you use a prefabed Y pipe or cut a hole in the pipe and fab a mount for the solenoid/flap?
Here's a few clips of a dump setup on a Charger. They were mounted at the first bend past the cats (in the midpipe) with a DIY mount.
Cutouts closed
Cutouts Opened
Cutouts Opened-Closed
I believe it was mounted here => see pic.

I got my Y pipe from the vender. I sent him my exhaust size and he sent the gates & Y assembled and ready for installation.
Your right.. installation was just aft of the cats, but just prior to the second bend and run back to the mufflers. My dumps empty inboard, with the exhaust directed outboard and on though the system. I made sure the mount placement was covered by the heat blanket that was installed under the resonator.
I've seen this illustration before and groaned. its been a year but I was certain that the resonator (suitcase) was forward of the placement here.. just where you see a forward mount in this illustration. I thought it was less and 2 food behind the gearbox. Is this illustration correct?? If so I've begun to suffer *sometimers* aka first stages of altimerz.
I've been a open proponet of these cut-outs for a year now. I've had no problem with leaking or operations open & closed. I sincerely love the choice to run the relative calm of the Borla exhaust, or the thunder when these gates are open. As if the unit itself doesn't turn heads, leave the gates open and play with 3,000 to 4,000 RPM around town. People do snap around and look for the Thunder.
Please say a prayer for our folks serving over seas.

Thanks for the information. Was the assembly you received a replacement for the midpipe between the CATs and the suitcase in the middle?
It's one thing to describe something and another to see it. As for the pic I have no idea how precise it is; it’s just for a visual which can be of great help at times.

Remember, I had the Borla Catbak installed at the same time as the cutouts, and 3 weeks prior to that I had cut the suitcase out and had straight pipe spliced in.
When installed, the borla system was hung, the cutout installed as I described, and the midpipe spliced in to join the stock borla to the cutouts. There was some crafty work necessary to complete the radius to the borla mids.. but I'm lucky to have a good exhaust pro to do the work for me. I know that there are those that have the tools and knowledge to make this a do it yourself project, but $165 was cheap for the craftsmanship I was lucky enough have gotten, and the frustration I avoided.

My guy is saying $200 installed w/ the switch mount on dash or where ver I want it.
Where did you mount your switch? I am thinking below the stearing column or unfront of the shifter?
