CHARGER CARBON FIBER RAMAIR HOOD!!! GREAT PRICE!!!
Daytona RT did the body shop have to paint or blend your fenders in with the hood and doors becasue of the new paint. my body shop said when they paint the new hood they would have to paint the fenders or blend them to make it look right. $800.00 way to much for just for painting a new hood for me. that doesnt make much sencse to me any was becasue there not blending the front bumber and then the doors will be different to. where would you stop. you think i need to or can i get away with just painting the hood a brand new car w/ 1000 miles. i could see on a older car the sun fade so you blend what you have to. let me know thanks.
JC,
Thats a tough call & would depend on just how finicky you are with regard to your unit and the precise color match. Its not likely that a perfect color match can be made aftermarket, to the exact shade & pigment & flake density of the factory paint.
I myself did have all surrounding surfaces blended & they did a terrific job. With 4 doors and the hood done, the only surfaces that were not retouched was the cab hood and trunk lid. My shop charged me $600 to prep, base coat the hood engine side, double base coat the top side & double clear the top. Again he blended both fenders and the front facia to match. $800 does seem extreme if all he intends to do is paint & fit your hood.
If your as **** about your unit as I, it definately gets expensive. I wish you luck on your decision.

well $800 was with blending the 2 front fenders. doesnt make much sence to me to blend all that but not the front bumper. then how will the doors match the new blended fenders. i have seen quys just paint the hood and if its done right you shouldnt be able to tell. thats why i want carbon fiber no paint.
Found this one on ebay. Does it not looks familiar? Check the price.

Nice find!
Not many details there. You know I'd love to see real picutres of the hood on a car.
Ah, found their web site here it is.

here is one i found on ebay. a little pricey for still using your own hood. and you have to cut it your self that will cost some money from a body shop if they will even do it. i dont think it looks as goods as the ram air hoods. but just one persons opition. hope this link helps.
