Is the scoop cut out?

I dont want to mess w/ cutting an $800 hood.

 

you have to cut your factory hood out to fit the scoop in it. i wouldnt do that either. to much work and more money to cut the hood.

 

I like the shaker hood. It all depends on your taste. The only thing I didn't like was the routing of air over to the OEM air box then to the intake. There was a lot of plastic that may restrict air flow in the engine compartment causing heat soaking.

 

Mangointx i think your hood looks much better. you are right there is a lot of plastic. and if i read the ad right it says something about "this is not a sealed system so no pressure will be forced into the engine; however, our sealed system intake upgrade will be available soon and can be added at anytime". so even more money. i still dont think cutting the factory hood is a good or money saving way to do it. just my 2 cents.
