Hi folks,
I am new to this forum and I'm on the verge of buying a new car.

I am interested in a Inferno Red 2006 Daytona R/T, number 148 of 200 (brand new). Looking at the Dodge website for the 2006's, I thought the Daytona only came in Mango and Banana, but this Daytona looks hot!! Dealer is offering $6000 below MSRP.

Decisions decisions......

The Daytona you are referring to is called "TorRed" and there were 2000 made, not 200. I have Top Banana and hubby has TorRed. Yes, we get a ton of ppl who stop at our driveway and look.

 

6k below MSRP?

What was the sticker and what is the MSRP? Usually for a Daytona w/ most options that retail for 36-38k. MSRP is usually 32k-34.

So if you can get one for 26-28k w/ Nav I would take it, that is a deal.

I have been eye ballin' 2006 SRT and they aint budging much beside 2k factory incentive and 1k finance thru Chrysler rip off deal.

 

Welcome DeanoBee, topbanana_1928's right on the Daytona. It seems TorRed is the last color this year. I can't keep up with the numbers, They produced 4000 of the first two Daytona's colors (GoManGo and TopBanana). I didn't know why they dropped from 4000 to 2000 production units when they started the TorRed. Seems like Mango and Banana are getting jipping if that is the case.

Anyhew... Reguardless if you get a R/T Inferno Red <= nice color or a Daytona (BTW... I saw they have SubLime and PlumbCrazy on the Dodge web as options) you will like it.

Hopefully the link above will bring you to the Car. All prices are Canadian and it is 148/200 and the picture shows the same.
If the link does work (or via cut-and-paste), there are a few pics of it. It does not look "TorRed" and the dealer told me it was Inferno Red.

Only up here in Canada maybe?

the picture does say 148 out of 200. i dont know if its a typo or what but i know the production numbers were 2000 not 200. and if you look above where it says daytona 148-200, it says "torred" so thats the color its gonna be but i must admit it didnt look torred at first and still doesnt to me.

 

As was pointed out a few times in the early GoMango and TopBanana stages, Canada has their own production numbers that have nothing to do with the US.

 

that is torred its just in weird lighting. the pricing must be way different then us. no need to repeat what everyone already said they are right on color and number of cars.


MangoInTX it does seem like we are getting jipped but i think it suck for the torred owners of 06 daytonas becuase know you can get torred in an r/t no dayton in 07![:@]
