Default b&g flash programming

hi everyone just when i think my problems are solved along comes sema and messes things all up now it seems there are more programs coming out for the computer.gs motorsports told me that when i do get the sc i will have to reprogram the pcm back to stock .so that leaves me back to step 1 .the new mopar performance programs im told are better then stock but not a whole lot better.what i would need is a flash from b&g programmeres would be best ? has anyone delt with this problem yet.also has any either used or inquired about them already plan on calling them fri but was looking for some other indepdent sources.

B&G has been around and has done some good work but on the flop side some have had problems w/their flashes. I believe B&G has a policy if they don't deliver what was agreed upon they will refund your money. As long as nothing blows your OK.

If you looking to leap out on performance it's going to take P/TCM programming. B&G is a good source.

A good option would be to go w/the Mopar performance PCM. That will give a person a "backup" PCM that can be sent to... let’s say B&G for enhancement and tinkering. Swap-em out as needed.

No doubt, over time the programs for our cars will mature.

I don't see a downside to the new Mopar PCM. Run it for a while and if you want send the <edit> old one out for flashing, B&G is the only choice I'm aware of. If you find a new direction to go and don't need that new Mopar PCM I would bet there would be easy to sell it.

I'm not sure if B&G will flash the TCM, but there's that "enhanced" flash you can get a few places <=Heat Performance is one.

Not sure about the three modules, are you wondering what modules the PCM has?

<edit>
from canhack.org...

Canbus - There are 3 separate CAN buses in these vehicles.

-[CAN-C] Engine / Critical systems CAN Bus ( Engine, Transmission, AntiLock breaks, ESP, etc.. )

-[CAN-B] Interior Comfort CAN Bus ( Climate Control, Car Audio system, Dash cluster, EVIC, etc.. )

-[diagnostic CAN-C] Diagnostic CAN Bus ( Has the capability of pulling service codes from the other two buses, but not directly connected to either )

also im puzzled as to the cost of the program ? im supplying the unit there not really giving you anything other then a program and charging a crap load of money 600 plus dollars.i mean am i missing something is not what there doing to the unit pretty much the same as we do with the superchip? except they keep the program and if it needs to be redone another 600 plus ,at least with the superchip you can do it yourself all day long.there has got to be a way to get the program of the pcm and plug in a new program .i wonder if dodge sells the pcm as well .because my thinking is if it has to go into the dealer and they plug something in the pcm will go back to stock and there by killing the 600 dollar program.for a trip to dealer stock pcm would be a good idea.but to spend 300 bucks on a new pcm from mopar performance just to have it wiped clean would be a shame as well .how many pcm am i gonna have looks like 3 stock mopar and b&g my credit card is screaming .

Not sure what B&G uses to flash the PCM, but it goes way beyond the superchips. Their similar in that they hook into the data link connector (DLC), and are capable of read/writing to the PCMs EPROM.

As you saw they offer various types of flash for our car including custom. Go to B&G if’n you want to:
MDS disabled
Idle RPM adjustment
Different fuel maps
Different timing maps
They also use software emulation to see what the tune will do prior to putting it in a vehicle.

Their price is due to supply/demand. They got something that is in limited supply, the knowledge to program your PCM more aggressively than over the counter programmers. PCM performance tuning outfits aren’t found on every corner like 7-11 quick shops.
