Cure for Throttle delay
The dealer said that TSB would do nothing to fix the throttle delay.
They claim that is normal on all hemis.
Thier answer stinks but what can i do? I plan on never using them for anything but warrenty issues.

Bananna,
Here's the way I approached the issue with my dealer, if the delay is normal it's not safe. They spent millions in R&D to make HAL smart enough to keep us from sliding around corners and spinning our tires, so you can't tell me they can't fix the delay in the fly by wire throttle. The thing that set me on the mission was the day my wife (who is the daily driver of the vehicle) backed out of our driveway with plenty of room to spare BTWN her and oncomming traffic and it took nearly 2 secounds for the damn thing to go after the gear selector was changed from reverse to drive. At that point it became a safety issue, it's not about racing or smokin the tires it's about going when you need to go.
The bottom line, if the delay is "normal" it's not right and needs to be fixed. Dodge chose to go with this new fly by wire system instead of the tried and true good ol' american wire linkage and throttle position sensor. IMHO, the so called "normal" is not nearly as good as the old "normal" and needs to be fixed, with the TSB that my dealer finally did it's not perfect but it got a whole lot better.
Just my 2, Kirk

Well In my opinion as a DEALER I am saying that whoever said it was normal is not trying to repair the problem for the customer. It doesnt cost the dealer anything to perform that TSB. I am performing it today. I will post on Monday of what it does. If it fixes my car I will post that in here and you can print it and give to the dealer and have them call me if you wish. Please do print the tsb off of here and give it to them due to disclaimers from DCX and I would be in trouble. I will be more than happy to send you anything you need to help. I will let you know how it does for me.
My dealer deffered the fix as a normal issue. I guess I should use a different dodge dealer.
I know that sounds stupid but I dont know who to run this up to. Should I go to the GM of the dealer?

Ok it is official.
I performed the TSB and the lag is gone. I am not sure why or how since it doesnt have anything to do with the tsb but it is gone. I will notify technical at Daimler and let them know as well. I hope this helps you guys.
