after reading other people's mods - thinking about the KWv2/v3 and the Hotchkis sway bars.
Any suggestions before I buy?!
Thanks

You'll be pleased with the KW's (I didn't know they had a variant III out). If you not going to mess with adjusting the damper then variant I would fit the bill, the V-Is have adjustable ride height. Mull over the options there, you can save some HemiBucks going w/V-Is.
Hotchkis will also cut down the body roll.

Thanks Mango
can you explain adjusting the damper?
Also, have you ever installed a TBS?

No thunder to be had. If there is then I'm glad to share
Damper is basically how a shock absorbs and dissipates energy, like energy made when hitting holes or bumps in the road.
You have probably caught on by now…
Stiffer (higher rate) damper give the shock/strut less travel and better stability, which in turn gives a harsh ride.
Softer (lower rate) damper allows more travel less stability which in turn gives a more comfortable ride.
An adjustable damper gives you the ability to independently set the damper return rate of each strut/shock.
I haven't installed a TBS on on a LX car. It's not that hard, take the Airbreather tube off and then I believe there are 4 bolt's you take off the inlet tube and put the spacer in. I probably will not install one on my car.

Hi TX what I was wondering you can lower the car with the mopar spring but since we have load level shocks. do you think swaping out the rear with a different brand from the front would throw a monkey wrench into the program. Also how hard is it to do the fronts. do you need to reline the front end. Also since the springs are on the strut and you need to remove it to replace the spring is it a no brainer just to replace the strut anyway? Just some evening enterment for your reading pleasure. Im not responsabile for you wetting your pants from laughter

if you change the springs spend the money and change the struts. you will blow out your factory struts with a lower spring in no time. it wont be able to handle the lower ride and bumps. i know many of guys that went the cheap way and just did the springs and the car and struts paid for it badly.

Ah, you know about the self leveling Nivomats. I bet you can get away w/swapping out the rear shocks, it all depends on what you swap them out with.
Heres a PDF on doing the front struts. Once you take the spring off the strut you will have a bare spring and strut in your hands. If you want to replace the strut this is the perfect time.
Yes, after any type of work like this an alignment is in order.
No wetting yet
once you get going on this project it will fall right in place. Be careful with the spring compression, those are nasty critters’ if they get away from you.
On a side note: I got the spring off the stock strut without any problems but putting the KWs on was another story. The KWs tapered at the bottom so the spring was too close to the strut and my spring compressors wouldn’t grab a hold. I ended up taking the strut/spring/tophat/nut to firestone and had them compress and put it together for about $80 (40 each).
