Interesting. A dip stick can be made, but on the 5 speed it should be marked in millimeters. The oil temp needs to read from a star scan type tool and the level adjusted in accoradance with a chart in the service manual.

 

Yea when I called them ,hey told me that was the only way the tranny should be low is if it were leaking.That was the reason for no DIPSTICK.Now my buddie has a new ford superduty it is the same way no dipstick .

 

I also read the temp thing as well. There are other paramaters that "should" be looked at when checking the fluid level of the tranny. You'd think as long as you measure it consistantly (same temp, Imperial Inches or Metirc) that would do it.
