Default Cold Morning = 0 to 60 in 5.52sec

It was a bit cold this morning so I thought I would give it a go. I hooked up the superchips tuner and selected the data logger function. With HALON, standing start, with wheelspin, 0 to 60 in 5.52 sec! If I could have hooked up better, I know that I could have had a 5 flat.

These cars LOVE COLD AIR!

I agree the Hemi loves the cold air and with the recent cold snap I've really noticed the differance--unfortunately in South Texas we don't get much---Any A/C guys out there thought about tapping off the A/C and adding a "mini" A/C to the intake system?
I am trying to get my 16 YR old who is in advanced chemistry classes to help me create some sort of concocktion of gassses to create a constant cold when exposed to heat--maybe we can get rich!!!!LOL!!!!

khurst -

Ford was experimenting with a reservoir that was cooled by the air conditioner during normal driving, When the throttle was nailed, that cold water circulated through a heat exchanger on the intake. This dropped the inlet temperature sufficiently to give an extra 15 to 20 horsepower. The problem was, that it took an hour to cool the reservoir and only 20 seconds to heat it up again.

Personally for track use I would like an airbox where you could drop in a 'cold pack' that you freeze in you home freezer the night before. Just drop one in before each run. Cheap and reusable....

I think its called nitrous oxide - hehehe. That one of the things that "Noz" does - keeps the incoming charge cold!!!
