I have an 06 RT and the brakes seem to pluse like the rotors need to be truned also. I have told my dealer and they are going to check into the problem for me. My car only has 15000 miles and I have already had the break system worked on with a major ESP problem. If it is the ESP I found that if I was at a stand still with my foot on the pedal for a long period of time the "slippery when wet" dash icon lite up on the dash. See if that happens to you too.

It is interesting that you mention that it is with the high speed braking. Mine is generally at high speed. The other day, on the way for servicing coincidentaly, the car felt like it was going to shake apart. The dealer said that due to the black discoloration on the rotos, this was an indication of too hard braking. I said what is too hard. In fact it was not even a panic stop. I told him that I though the rotors were defective. The only thing they could do was turn the rotors for the 3rd time in 28K miles. Dealer said that this is the only rotor/brake system for the car. Relatedly, do the srt8 rotors fit the rt? Any advice on after market brake rotors with a better performance?

I have just under 20K on my RT, I live in the northwest and the 2 dealerships I went to about possible rotor problems told me thatDodge will not cover warped rotors after 8K miles due to the weather extremes here in the NW?? what a load of Cr*P! Then they toldme that there wasn't any problem that they noticed anyway. Anybody know what the true story is?

Dodge Charger 2006 XRT. Brake noise, low frequency sound. I had this vehicle 6 months and put 20K miles on it, traveling sales! I have experienced this noise issue and took it back for warranty work. I have the high preformance brake pads and rotors. The problem occurs when near a stop speed and sounds like antilock brake activation. It is most noticeable when the vehicle actually stops and the body shift positions. The dealer indicated Dodge is aware of the problem and currently under engineering investigation. So everyone should touch base with their dealer on all brake related items. Take it in so that you have a reciept/record of the problem and check back with your dealer every couple of weeks.
