Default brakes

Do the srt8 brakes (rotors or pads and rotors) fit the RT? Since I am having such a problem with mine, I feel like asking the dealer to at least try to help.

Yes, there's a local Daytona w/SRT8 breaks he also swapped out his suspension for the SRT8s.

<edit> on the breaks he's running the rotors and calipers/pads.

mango, thanks for the response. can you tell me if the guy noted any performance improvements? the srt8 chysler rotors do not have the holes it them (not sure what that is called-slotted?), they only have the lines in the face about 2mm deep. are the calipers different? bigger?

what is the status of the problem with thehigh speed pulsing with the abs. i believe that a lot of my braking problem is under this condition. still can't get the dealer to address this. i did not notice any TSB on this either.

Yes the SRT8 "Brembo" brakes are much bigger than the R/Ts, the Calipers are 4 piston.

and the srt8 brakes are a direct fit, with no adjustments required.

also, are the chyrsler srt8 brakes the same. as you know we do not have the charger srt8 here yet, only the chrysler. so i will need to price the chrysler.

The SRT8 brakes are built around the stock20" tire. You at least need rotors and calipers. I don't know of the hub assembly is any different from the R/T.

The 300, Magie & Charger should be the same.

Default RE: brakes

if the srt brakes also requires new wheels and tires, this will go beyond where i want to go at thistime at least.

i thought the srt brake system woudl be the effective way to get chrysler parts, without going to the guessing of the after market.

now, i will need to see/ask how to improve braking based on aftermarket for the 18" wheel.

so the guy with the daytona thatput on the srt brakes, must havehad the 20" wheels too, right?

Yes, that fello also got the SRT tire/wheels.

There are several choices out there for brake upgrads, any way you go will beexpensive. I've searched in the past on is very topic so I'll go through my links and post some up some vendors w/options.
