Default headers and exhaust

I was thinking about buying Mopar long tube headers with a cat back system.

I want to keep the carfactory and use Mopar preformance parts when possible.

Any issues I should know about Mopar long tube headers? Also I was thinking about aMagna Flow cat back system. Then finishing it off w/ a Super Chips programmer.

That should give me another 20-25 hp to the rear wheels.

Any help would be greatly appreciatedwith afree foot massage w/ lotion by TB3767

Unless you think you can live with the dreaded Magnaflow drone, stay away from them. Otherwise, I think I've read where others have used the MP long tube headers and like them.

Mopars LT arent stainless, and are not coated.I do believe they are only 1 5/8" dia. then to get them coated you are looking at another 300 to 400 to get Jet Hot Coating on them.(Great stuff) This is the only reason I didnt go with the Mopar. That is why I went with the SLP LT,they are stainless,1 3/4"dia.,and also sterling Jet Hot Coated, also came with the high flows and all the goodies like Mopar. The price is about 1400 for the SLP,which ever one you get make sure you get some stage8 locking header bolts(35.00 at Summit Racing).I am doing my install This Friday Ill let you know how its goes with some pics.Remember they are lots of them ut there like ,JBA,KoOKS,SLP,MOPAR,DYNATECH and prob.some others I have left out.I hope this helps!

Oh yea yourright Magnaflows drone.

Maybe Zoomers or Corsa? I have Flowmaster mufflers at $120 each which I hate to trash but if I do headers I need the cat back.

They keep the bolt from loosening up and preventing exhaust leak at the manifold.

That's right, theheader flange heating up and cooling down causes the bolts to work loose.I retightened mine 3 times before getting Breslin header bolts (<= they went out of business). Stage 8 are the only ones I know of to get now.
