I'm running a NAPA 180 degree part # 191 THM

Here's a pic showing the location of the thermostat. There are two bolts, I believe you will need a 13mm socket or wrench.

After you take the two bolts that hold the topthermostat housing and pull it loose you will see thermostat. Use a small screwdriver to pry it out, be sure not to damage the rubber seal on the outside lip of the thermostat. When it comes out so will some antifreeze. You'll need to move the rubber seal from the OEM T-stat to the new T-stat.

I took the sloppy route and let it dribble everywhere, once done I added a little distilled water to the overflow.

Marty is right - the zippy bagthing is the next best thing to the Charger, it's so simple& priceless. Just hold the zippy bag under the housing and let it catch anything that spills out and after your done pour it back into the overflow container.

One more question.

Can I use a lower temp thermo than 180 sinceit is so hot in TX or is it a waste of time?

You can try it. I ran a 195 then the 180. So at any time I can swap between the 203 or 195 or 180.

I don't think you want to go colder than 170, it would probably throw codes.

PepBoys has Stant T-stats. 170degree part #s:13947 - 170, 14127 - 170, 14177 - 170 They may not have them in stock but they can order them.

191 THM is what I have in my car right now. It's a 63mm T-stat which is the correct size.

I'm typing this from my PDA sorry for the short reply.
