I have a 06 Police Package and would like to slightly modify. I know the exhaustand cold air will work for me but does anyone know if the Super Chip mod is needed on this model? I have compared exhaust to other Hemis and they appear to be the same, not sure about the ECM. Itshure is nice to be able to get ris of Hal when he is not wanted around!

Where did you find a used one?

 

Was lookng for one for months, one sold on E-Bay but for way to high for the miles. I am friends with the Pro Fleet Manager inGa. (Carl Gregory Dodge)form past purchaces, he nevertheless still would not sell just onenew but did get the inside on when and wherethe program 6 month lease untis were getting turned loose. Hewas able to get another dealer closer to my location topurchace it at auction and made it avalible for sale as used, of course you know who was the first one in line when it came off of the truck.Mine shows the State of Micigan Procurement Department as the first registered to the car.

 

About disposing of Hal temporairly, with the car in park I have to hold dowm the ESP for 10 seconds, wait for the chimeand let the fun begin!I have only tried this once due to the ABS also being disabled, the manual suppliment advises "For off road use only".

 

Unless something was changed when it was "given up" on the lease, the programs on the police cruisers, as I understand it, are different than a regular R/T. I believe that you CAN completely turn off HAL, but I don't remember how. You may have figured it out already. Have fun, but be careful

Is the shift on the column? The cruisers I have seen have replaced the center console with radio equipment, etc.

They are built like that with the shifter in the column because DC knew that radio equipment and light controls needed to be in the center console area. So they did not replace them at all.

 

Screw that price! You know the guy who was assigned the car BEAT down on it. For sure!

But they are very cool looking!
