Hey all you peoples out there. I got myself a 1965 Dodge D-100 Pickup. Man this truck is great... it still has the original trim too! Yeah I dunno what I want to do but I know first would have to be getting the air filter on there that it doesn't have and maybe seeing if I can fit a 4 barrel carb on it instead of the 2 barrel it has already. Either way, I jus wanted to know what others have done with such a similar truck. I'd use it for 4x4 since I'm in Alaska but it's 2 wheel drive so I figured I'd make it a rice burner. Eh, questions, comments, things of those sorts is what I'm lookin to read. Take it easy peoples. - Andy

That's a pretty rare animal you have there... most of the pickups of that vintage were worked hard until they couldn't work anymore, and then got sent off to be recycled into a half-dozen Toyodas..... I'd restore it to as close to original if it was me, but it's your truck so it's your call. A big block would be a nice transplant into that as well! How's the body on it? Got any pics? Being a '65, that's the old style 318... also known as the 'wide block'... so a lot of the standard small-block Mopar stuff won't interchange. Not sure what's available for them, as I've never had one and never had to chase parts for one as a result. Good luck with it... let us know what you do with it, and post some pics when you can.

Yeah.. my bad for not posting as much. Big list of things occurred.. None of which to mention again. Yet I finally had gotten some pics of my pickup and found a place to host 'em too. There she is in all her glory.. well before things occurred. I had the clutch go out on me and had it rebuilt. Then I got the clutch in but I broke a brake line that was going from a master cylinder to the clutch pump. When I finally got the brake line bent enough to thread into its rightful places I overlooked that one of the connections had been touching a conductor that all my wiring was hooked up to. When I started her up she was smoking and the wiring all got fried.. now I gotta go find me a couple other things now to get her back in shape. At least I don't gotta get her I/M'd ahaha. Well I hope to hear from you peoples on what you thinks of her. And yeah TeeWJay she does got a 318.. 3 in the tree.. and I still haven't found an airfilter assembly for her yet. All will work out in due time though. Take it easy - Andy
