I would like to get a Dart or maybe Polara. The Dart would probably be a little better on gas.

If you want to use it as a daily driver, keep in mind that alot of the older Mopar engines from the 60-70's do not originally have hardened exhaust valve seats and if you drive it hard (normal highway speeds for substained intervals) using unleaded gas the exhaust valves will eventually recess into the heads. Darts / Polara - that covers alot of years. The Darts (63-66 series) were small compared to the 67-> models. There is also a wide range of engine possibilites several size slant 6s, small block V8s, big block V8s to choose from, which affects MPG as well as the rear axle ratio selection. You can get a little better MPG if you find a standard trans car and also get away with a smaller engine.

Dodge Polara, the way to go. I ride the bike to work every day, except when it rains. Should be no problem with a short commute; I can always rent a car if I'm going to Vegas.

in 1976 VW made a new car called a scirocco, they showed it to be fast, it wasnt real fast by chrysler standards. i raced a scirocco 5 lights in a row he didnt have a chance. but i had a 3.55 gear, and a 4 speed. it could be done again, but its not easy.
