From what I could find, the Mayfair was a Canadian variant of the Wayfarer in the states. It has the same styling as the '51 Coronet, but was basically a 2 seat business coupe version of it. If you find a Wayfarer of the same vintage, it would essentially be the same car; or if you wanted a back seat, a Coronet would have the same styling.

OOH, I love it! Alright Jay, thanks for the info. Have to say u r pretty knowledgeable about
this car. I was merely making an uneducated guess. So u think it is a '51 Dodge? I was thinking, it could be a little older?? LMK. Thanx... R.V.

Actually, I'd say your guess was pretty well educated. It very well could be a '52 as well, as the styling was virtually the same. I would have guessed it to be a Wayfarer- until I did a search on the Mayfair, to be honest, I had never heard of it before. Only then did I find out that it was Canada's counterpart to the Wayfarer! The first year for that front end style was the '51- if you see a '50, it had the chrome grille similar to the '48 & 9's.

Thats me in the picture, and i think must of been around 1959-1960, and that car does look older than 9 years old.
just a guess..
