Default 1980 W200 steering issue?

Hey all, I'm not sure that this is in the right place, but I'm hoping to get the issue resolved. Just finished working on our Dodge W200 Power Wagon which has been sitting for a few years while we worked on it. We replaced the suspension and countless else but the problem isn't really there.
Whenever you take a slightly tight turn, the truck jerks violently and the steering does as well. The jerking is almost identical to a new driver learning to drive a standard. It isn't in four wheel drive and the locking hubs aren't engaged. What could cause this sort of behavior?
