I acquired a boatload of tools from a retired mechanic with this among them. Apparently, its an era Chrysler tool that might be used for front-end work. Can anyone confirm this? I'd like to know its purpose and what vehicles it's for.

No. It's very large. A little over 16".

 

Are any parts moveable?

Looks like some sort of caliper (the measuring kind that is)

 

I have no idea what that is. Maybe something related to the torsion bar front ends?

 

It measures 18-½" in length. The curved arms are ~10-3/4" long. The arms move around the main shaft.

 

an other guess. could it be that it is missing some parts?

 

Nothing missing. It is all complete.
