power steering
well I would like to leave it all original but the original flathead six was rated from the factory at a whopping 82 bhp(brake horse power) at 3200 rpm so I would be lucky to get 60 mph downhill in the wind but you might be intrested in some of the odd things dodge did for example the strangest is the battery is not only 6 volts but possitive ground the + goes to the frame instead of the-, the parking brake is by the gearshifter witch doesnt go to the back wheels but has a 3rd drum on the back of the transmission for the park brake , the hood is hinged in the center. The starter isnt ingaged by the key it actuly has a pedal on the right of the gas that actuly pushes out the bendex. The wildest is the seat it was made air tight with a vent on the bottom witch could be opend a little or a lot to make it firm or softer. when i get some good pics of my other dodge (1990) i will post them for you it. its nothing special but its my baby of 6 years not to mention my first and until now my only ride but it too is a dodge .. well i look foward to talking with you some more and maby meeting some of the other members..

WOW!! Those are some bizarre quirks your truck has! LOL! I've NEVER heard of a seat like that before...
Nah, you can't leave it all original... that's no fun either... [insert the Muhahaha laugh here... LOL!]
If you have the pics saved on your computer, you should be able to upload them to the Photo Album above...
It allows 6 pics I believe...~Amanda

Yea I like the way the hood ofens from each side drivers or passangers I plan on using hydraulics where i can even open them from the inside since the way they are now they dont lock and im contemplating haveing them tilt foward after opening from the side and haveing a ram head painted on the inside to give it thed aperance of the ram looking down on the truck thats still a mabey what do you guys and gals think? I would like to also say thanks to all you diehard dodge fans for giveing me your input . I think it will help me wind up with something realy wonderful in the end. For my 1990 dodgeI was thing about installing N.O.S.and plumbing the purge threw the hood orniment and out the nostrilsso when i purge it it apearsthat"steam" Is shooting out his nose.

The 'steam' is a GREAT idea... I saw it in Fast And The Furious 2 and LOVED the idea! LOL! I am SO excited to see this truck take shape!!!

The Ram on the inside of the hood would be very awesome, that's a very big clue to onlookers that the owner REALLY loves the car/truck. LOL! And it makes for a very nice detail...

My brother got our grandfathers 49 1/2 ton we tryed for three yrs to fit something in or rerout the exhauts.we put it on a 75 Dodge 4x4 1/2 ton frame( that he had just wreaked good timing i was out of idea's) the gap between the cab and bed is 2 in's wider. But the narrow body gives it a great stance.
Your truck looks3/4 ton,it should still fit on a 1/2 ton frame.i'am just south of Okla.city been in your town many times, their's a great Mopar club in dallas. One more thing there is a salvage yard about 10 north of you on 35 west side of the road next to the new race way full of classic iron.how is it?it's always closed when i go by.
I have a 1948 Dodge B1C pickup that is all original. It has a special order 4 speed transmission and bed. Normally the truck is a 3 speed. I am seeking and inspection cover for the transmission. The actual name for it is clutch housing pan. The truck had a frame off restoration and the original 218 L6 engine still purrs like a kitten. Any help would be appreciated. I will have pictures of the truck posted soon.
