Gas Tank ON Truck Thats Been Sitting
Hi Guys I have a 1955 dodge pick up that i have owned for about 3 years. The truck has only been driven a few feet that I know of while being restored. 2 different repair shops had truck for long time.not sure if they started and drove. I am worried about crud and muck in tank, and would like to clean gas tank out. A idea I had was fill with fluid then use a dry/ wet vacuum hoping hose would fit into gas tank and vacuum everything out. Maybe replete a few times I would make sure inside tank dry before adding gas. My nephew is saying inside of tank needs to be painted a professional would have to do. What would you do if you had a truck thats been sitting a long time.?

Pricey. Might see if there is an aftermarket retrofit you can do.
