Default 1956 Light duty Dodge C towing weight capacity

I’ve brought a 1956 light duty Dodge C pickup and I need to do some towing. Dose anyone have an idea what weight I’m legally allowed to tow? Thanks

The best way to determine the towing capacity is to find the the GCWR and do some math. Take a look at the plate on the driver-side door jamb of the truck. You should see the GCWR (gross combined weight rating) listed. This represents the maximum that the fully loaded truck and trailer can weigh. From the GCWR, subtract the GVW (gross vehicle weight) which represents the fully loaded weight of the truck including passengers and cargo. When you subtract the two, the difference will represent the maximum trailer weight you can safely tow.

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately there is no mention of the GCWR on the plate.
I have a maximum gross vehicle weight of 5100lb
stated on the plate. I weighed the vehicle yesterday and it came in at 4740lb with me in it.

I can't find any info on towing with it...... Personally, I wouldn't go over 5K pounds with it..... (trailer weight.)
