Default Turn signals

I'm at a loss. I have a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger. My flashers work but turn signals do not. I have tried what little I know like grounds, bulbs. I have had friends who are more knowledgeable then I work on it, pulling dash checking connections etc but so far nothing has been found wrong.

Any ideas where to go now?

Are there separate flasher units for the turn signals, and emergency flashers? Do the brake lights work?

Welcome to DF! Moving this to the Classics section.

There are two separate flashers and I have replaced both. The brake lights do work however the backup lights stay on. I believe this is because this is a clone and the car used to be a column shift. I have secured the part of the column that would normally turn with the shifter lever so that it does not change position toward where the reverse position would have been and I finally removed the backup light bulbs completely.Oddly, and maybe unrelated but the signals worked until I installed a new speedometer cable. Since then they do not function. I have looked and it doesn't appear that anything has been broken or moved behind the dash.

Blew a fuse? (yeah, too easy)

Do you have a manual for the car? Wiring diagrams? I suspect you are going to need them...... I don't have resources that reach back that far......

Yes I have an original Garage repair manual for that year covering A, B & E. I'm working thru it. I was just looking for a quick answer if someone knew. I'll get it done, it's on my bucket list. lol.

One flasher is for the emergency and the other is for the turn signals. I would look at the turn signal switch in the column.
