87 Raider
New to the forum. Just bought a 1987 Dodge Raider. Pretty rare. After sitting under a tree, unmoved, for 15 years, I cannot even tell what color it is! Going to be my project for a while! It’s a 2.6 L 4 cyl with a 5 speed manual. I am doing a ground up restoration. Anyone interested in keeping up with my project progress, just let me know. I need to know if anyone had had experience with Clegg or Engine Tech rebuild kits? I have a new Clearwater Head ordered and am ready to start the bottom end rebuild. Just need to know about quality, etc. thanks!

It's a Mitsubishi under the skin. I don't remember what the Mitsu version was called but they are the same vehicle under the trim and badging. I used to work with a guy who had one and he could keep up in the snow with my W-150.
Sort of, it's a Mitsubishi product sold under the Dodge name. The older vehicles were pretty good. I worked with a guy back then that lived 120 miles from work. He had two of the Ram 50 truck. He ran 250,000 miles on both of them before replacement. He eventually moved closer.
It's not a true "Dodge" just a Mitsubishi with a Dodge emblem on it. No forums listed here for it. The Stealth is another vehicle that was a Mitsubishi with a dodge emblem. But there is a forum for them. ???
Ok everyone. I know it is not a “true” Dodge. I know it is a rebadged Mitsubishi. Chrysler imported it as a Dodge. Did not try to hide the fact. If it not being “true” Dodge is an issue just let me know. I can switch to one of the 4-wheel/off road forums.

No issue here. I don't even own a Mopar right now. Heading over to look at one tomorrow but nobody has told me to leave. It wouldn't do them any good anyway.
Just a reminder to the naysayers, Mitsubishi was partly owned by Chrysler when the Raider, Conquest, 3000GT and so on were imported. As a result, they are Mopars. Nobody says the cars from the turn of the Century like the Neon, Magnum and such aren't true Chrysler's because Daimler was the controlling partner.

Those were FUN cars.
