Curious and jealous at the same time.

Removal of my ring made no noticeable difference, any other mods to your truck like intake box or something ?

I removed the baffle from the intake tube, also using large aftermarket filter in stock airbox....have a custom cold air intake, drilled whole in bottom of intake box and attached a hose running down to under the engine compartment.

I cut mine off and this is what they looked like when I got finished with them.

Cutting those out was more trouble than taking the ring out. It didn't make any audible difference at idle or driving the way I do (like a grandpa), but when you get on it, it sounds pretty cool. My wife said it sounds like an airplane.

I know this is an old thread, but I took my ring out last week.
It took all of 5 minutes. Made very little sound difference.

I did notice the baffles in the intake tube. What are they there for?
Is the only way to take them out, cutting them into little pieces?
