paint and warranty ?'s plz help
has anyone had "thin" or bad paint and it peeled? there is a little bit of peeling i noticed on my bumper, honestly, i would assume it is a rock chip, but there is absolutely no little ding or cut in my bumper. i noticed it when i was at the car wash and i was sprayin it down and i saw it flake a little. i would like to not put nailpolish on it to seal it and just give it a little time and let it get worse than take it to the dealership and have the whole bumper resprayed because i do have some scratches in the bottom of the bumper where i think some dumbass backed into me i would like to get fixed, there are no dents from this and the scratches arnt deep, it just brushed me and took off the paint. anyway, just wondering if anyone has this problem? i have full extended warrenty and bumper to bumper. think if it gets worse they will take care of it?
I had paint work done under warranty. My truck is patriot blue and they apparently have a hard time covering all of the parts w/ that color. I had the underside of my doors (wher it flairs in) and inside the fuel door repainted. The whole process was relatively easy, we did need approval from the DC rep before any paint work could be done.
our trucks are covered under the 8 yr 80000 mile warrenty against rusting and flaking. also when i purchased my truck i got the enviromental protection package. every 3 or so months i take my truck to the dealer and the clean the interior and wash it for me. as long as i own the truck. plus i received a bottle of touch up paint.
