Default Truck wont go more then 2500 rpms

Hey everyone Im having a huge problem. My Driving down the road I noticed that my truck would get to about 2-3 grand and start struggling real bad. I noticed that my negitive terminal was corroded so I cleaned it and the positive and put it back on. It got better and then it would start again. I got to the point were I noticed that the negitive terminal was slightly able to move a bit around the post. I think I should go to parts store and get a new one. I was told my battery has 640 cranking amps and the terminals looked fine. Im at the point now were it the starter just dosent seem enough to get it to turn over. But it dosent feel like battery is dead. Should I just go on ahead and change the terminal? Or might it be somthing more.. Im a bit lost and frustrated about it. I have a 2wd reg cab 2000 4.7 liter v8 and its a standard.

yeah dude, if a battery terminal is loose or spins in place, junk the battery, it may have had a good connection at the parts store cause the terminal may have been stationary, but while the truck is going down the road, it's jumping around and wiggling that post and breaking that conenction, also do a tune up, u just need spark plugs withg the 4.7

if it is sluggish and wont go over a certain rpm, u can also have to look at your catalytic converter. if it is clogged you wont be able to go over a certain rpm range. and yea it seems like a short amount of miles, but anything can happen... keep us posted
