when is the LA auto show I can drive 6-8hrs. to go see some cool stuff. I live in Phx, AZ, Iwish they had a show after the one in Chicago.</P>

What's this about a 6.1L HEMI? How powerfull? I really don't want my current HEMI to be overpowered, it's not even a year old yet. <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">

I'll tell you what I know so far. The 6.1L HEMI V-8 will NOT I repeat NOT be in the Dodge Dakota lineup! But, the 6.1L HEMI V-8 (codenamed 440) is going to show up on SRT-8 Charger models (supposely) and will make a debut in the Ram Heavy Duty lineup. Now this motor will actually be a HEMI, not a HEMI "MAGNUM" motor like the 5.7L I heard from vast sources. The codename 440 is not cubic inch displacement, since that would be about 368ci. But 440 is the power it has. We are still not sure if it is a horsepower or torque rating yet! But as you can see the 6.1L is far superior than the 5.7L. Look at the intake for example.</P>

That sucks! I mean yay for a bigger more powerful engine but now my Ram with the 5.7L HEMI is going to be overpowered. <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0">

 

Well, trade in your Ram 1500 for a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Sport then! lol.</P>
