Idea for Dodge
Make a Dakota sized version of the PowerWagon with a smaller sized 4 cyl. deisel. Everyone who owns the old toyota's with solid axels would probably trade up. Those who want a kick-@$$ 4x4 as a daily driver would buy one.
check this out wonder if dodge is ever gonna put it in to production with a diesel. Looks alright though like a jeep and a dodge made a truck together.

Cummins makes a 3.9L diesel, it is 2/3 of the 5.9L in the big trucks. So all they have to do is beef up the dakota front suspension for the added weight, and drop it in, and I will buy one. It would be my last truck ever, as I am retired, and pushing 62. Short of Dodge doing that, I will just have to build my own as soon as the 80 Lebaron coupe project is done.
I heard that the forest service converted a bunch of dakotas a few years back, in Utah, but I don't know which engine they used. The garage that did the work was selling off the V6 engines that came in them...

that would be the last truck i would buy and im only 19!
seriously a nice diesel is the only thing the dakota is missing...
give it a nice offroad option (maybe a truck thats ABLE to be lifted with a working suspension!)
my 04 doesnt have that lol
definitally like to see a solid axle under it... that would be the perfect truck
