Want to Lift truck
Hi.
I have a 2000 Dakota club clab with the V6 and manual 5 speed.
I want to put a body lift on it and get bigger tires. I saw another dakota today that apparently had a 3 inch body lift and 33
inch tires. has anyone else done this? also what else would i have to modify or watch for when lifting, such as the shifter or any wires? thanks a lot.

I have a 99 5 sp v6 with a 3 inch suspension lift and 2 inches on tosion bars with 31's. I really suggest doing some more research before lifting and adding bigger tires. My v6 came this way used, but I can tell it is very sluggish and the stick is sort of out of whack from being jacked up so high, whoever did it probably didnt do it right. I love how it looks, but these v6s just arent strong enough for a lifted truck with 31's. Just my .02
I put on a 3 in body lift on my v6 5 spd manual. It is pretty simple really, things you need to watch the brake lines (which run along the frame) and the fuel filler neck (which they recommend you remove, i recommend u dont). u dont need to worry about the shifter, it will only be a little shorter but its not that big of a difference and i hardly notice it anymore. i have 31s and i wouldnt go any bigger cuz this v6 is a dog and it pushes hard. if u get aftermarket rims that are like 15x8 and slap some 31 mud terrains they look real sharp without having to be huge heavy 33s. hope this helps
