Default Major milestone passed in my Dak project truck.

Hello,

I have been working on a 2001 4.7 liter 4wd quad cab Dakota I bought. So far I have focused on two things. Getting the truck mechanically perfect and exterior add ons. No performance upgrades yet. The truck was high mileage so it has been alot of work to make it as good mechanically as the day it was born but I think I'm done with that stage of the project. Here is a list of the exterior mods so far ...

3" suspension lift from GoRancho
BF Goodrich all terrains
20" KMC Rockstar rims
Westin nerf bars
Black shorty rubber antennae
New black front bumper
Halogen headlights and foglights
Westin brush guard
Tough Country deluxe rear bumper
(want black tailights like NightRunner has)

I intend on painting the grey fascia under the bumper black when I do my paintjob. I will paint the truck copper with black pearl shadows.

Adding performance to my engine is the next step. So far this is what I intend to do to the engine...

K&N Series 77 cold air intake
Fully ported aluminum racing heads
Roller rockers
HO camshafts
Intake manifold
Autolite 3920 spark plugs with new wires
70 or 72 mm throttle body spacer
Stainless steel headers but dont know what brand yet
Flowmaster dual exhaust with black oval tips
(will have to send my computer back to Dodge to be reprogrammed due to the new heads and cams)

Once I have done all that I may put on a supercharger. We will see how happy I am with the horsepower at that point. Any advice on where to purchase these performance parts is greatly appreciated. If you can think of a useful performance upgrade that I did not mention please let me know. I will redo the interior with a sound system, lots of wood trim and leather seats last of all. I hope to be a candidate for truck of the month when I am done.

Fun little truck!
