Add a 6bt to a dakota frame and you will have one holy hell of a truck, a 4bt will bolt in much easier. The swaps have been done. There is a dakota running dana 60 axles I believe front and rear with a 4bt swap, he has about 70k into the truck and it's sweet. It's a green truck, with pusher and puller fans on the radiator to engine.

So, if boosting a 4.7L, I heard that you would need new rods, pistons, and crank...

You can safely run 10psi on stock internals. Anything more than that is pushing it. Richie is forging his internals right now and is planning on running 26psi on a forged 4.7L HO.

I am talking to levi, the shop closed 3 hours ago, and he is still there tinkering with the sct code and really wants to romp on it. He said from an idle and part cruise the turbo is wicked screaming loud. Tomorrow will be the big day, FINGERS crossed!!

His actual term , " Uhm when the thingy goes WOOOOOOOSSSSHHHH, and VRRROOOOOOOOOOOM, your tires are going SQEUAAAAKKKKKKKKK. You need to buy stock in tires. Hearing an explanation like that described to you over the phone, can't help but make you laugh.
