Mostly I drive on road in 2wd, but sometimes I'll head up to the gravel pit or on trails and the 4wd is nice. The other day I had to drag my Dakota's sorry little tail home and get my Ram so I could pull a stupid boat out. horray for electronic transfer cases NOT WORKING! Yay, had it about a month and I've suffered my first failure already. At this point it looks like maybe I should have bought the Toyota.

Thats why when I buy a 4X4 I make sure it has a manual transfer case. Push button ones are way to unreliable for my tastes.
Then again, I dont need 4wd anyways anymore. The county closed ALL the 4X4 trails here a few years ago. And I have no problem getting through 10" of snow with a 2wd pickup.
