Tornado-Thumped in CT
Tornadoes aren't supposed to happen in New England, I thought; but one nevertheless pretty well ripped up our mountain around suppertime on Thursday:

Four of the five routes up the mountain are still impassable, owing to down trees, power poles and power lines. Electrical service is still out. Running the house, one half at a time, off a small Coleman generator.
An 80-foot oak, at least 30-36" in diameter, was ripped out by the roots and clobbered our deck -- missing the house by just a few feet.
No injuries. And the Dakota is safe/unscathed. (<-- obligatory Dodge-related content.)
