Default Transmission pump bushing fused

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum! Nice to meet you all!

So here's my dilemma. I was driving on the interstate when I lost all gears on my transmission. Towed it home & was checking the fluid level in neutral when it dumped a ton of fluid all over my driveway. Determined it was the pump seal. Dropped the tranny, pried the torque converter off & yup, seal was done. But then I noticed something else, the pump bushing was fused to the torque converter. After going to 3 different parts stors, I was able to order one that will be in the following day. So I went home & chiseled the bushing off the torque converter hoping to salvage the part but there's still chunks of the bushing on it.
So here's my question, would I be able to salvage the old torque converter if I'm gentle enough with the grindemgrinder? Also, would the pump have to be replaced since the bushing did spin in the seat? I'm dreading the thought of going to the junkyard to drop another tranny for a pump & converter. I do however have another transmission from my 3.9 V6 that I just swapped last weekend, but the torque converter is different, it is not notched like the one from my 5.9 R/T. Would I be losing performance if I used it, or should I just suck it up & pull something from the junkyard, or can I salvage what I have? Money is tight so really just trying to use my resources wisely.

I think you would be better off just replacing the whole thing. (transmission, AND torque converter)

the transmission was just installed last year. It was brand new from dodge. Not saying it wouldn't fry out, but geeze, I spend $1000 to use a transmission for one year?!

If it was brand new from dodge, then you should still have some warranty left. That is something I would check right away.

Apparently there's no warranty. The transmission was some kind of a clearance thing & they didn't offer any warranty. I thought it was odd but I guess I can see why. Looks like I'll be rebuilding the whole damn thing. I'm gonna have to get a new pump since the fused pump bushing ate away at the bore. Might as well get a new torque converter while I'm at it. No really in the budget but I still have the original transmission but it's in my quad cab right now. Looks like it's gonna be a busy weekend for me
