Ok so I rebuilt the top end of the motor, 3.9 liter magnum, due to a blown head gasket. New heads, timing chain and gears, water pump, thermostat and housing, Pcv valve, crankcase vent etc. Have driven it about 70 miles and notice rough running at a stop and EXCESSIVE oil on the intake filter. HELP!!!! I am close to ordering a short block and transfer the top end to it. Really trying to avoid this.

 

PCV problem. Aftermarket PCV Valve? If so, go to the dealer and get one. They are actually the correct flow rate.

 

Yes after market PCV Valve and crankcase vent filter. You can hear the PCV constantly clicking as the truck runs

 

That just means is flowing, it may be flowing too much.
