Clearing DTC's

I have an 02 dakota 4.7L. I know how to do the "Secret Ninga" key trick to get the codes but am unsure how do clear them with out a scan took. Can anyone help me out here.

...I am not sure if after 2000 models have backup power on PCM ...But on my 97' it's enough to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to clear codes ....However after some time they appear again ....
