Default Stereo in 95 Dakota

The stereo went out and I bought an after market. I have got three answers as to if the Am/FM w/ CD has a built in amp. Also is the blk & grn wire that has the two prong hook up, the wire for the amp. Confused on wiring. THX

Ok, heres how it works:
You've got the premium radio in your Dakota (well, you did).
Instead of the normal 2-wires per speaker, you had 4. (One typical positive, one typical negative, one proving positive power to the amp in each speaker, and one providing ground to the amp in each speaker).
For the "amp in each speaker" wiring, the coloring is consistant. The positive wire is black and red. The ground wire is always black and dark green.
The hook up you are talking about is just the ground tab for the speakers amps.

"The premium speaker option upgrades all the speakers in the above sections to Infinity models. Infinity bi-amplified coaxial speakers are mounted in each front door. Infinity full-range speakers are mounted in the rear cab side panels. The Infinity coaxial speakers each feature an integral amplifier and frequency filter unit. The Infinity full-range speakers in the club cab models also feature an integral amplifier and frequency filter unit. The amplifier of the radio is used to drive the tweeters in each of the front door coaxial speakers and the full-range speakers in the standard cab models. The speaker-mounted amplifiers drive the woofers in each of the front door coaxial speakers and the full-range speakers in the club cab models."
