Got an R/T
Hello everyone, I bought a 2000 Dakota R/T CC with 47,000 miles on it, and already has mopar headers and a flowmaster 40 series. The truck is fast and sounds great(and loud). I have noticed a whining noise coning from the rear end at low speeds. Is this normal? My friend has a durango with posi and it does the same thing. Also, what could i expect out of this truck in the 1/8th mile and the 1/4. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I talked with a mechanic at the dodge dealership i work at today and he said that i could put some fluid in the rear differential and it would stop the noise. Ill try to take some pictures tomorrow.
Got the oil and oil filter changed today along with having the fluid put in the differential. That has seemed to have fixed my problem. I looked to see if it needed a new air filter and it turns out it had a k&n drop in. So i cleaned it today. Here are some pics of my truck.
