Getting the most power out of my truck
Right now I have a bone stock 94 5.2L and im extremly satisfied with it. But being it has a V8 I have the craving to get more and more power out of it. Friday its getting dual exaust so im pretty pumped. After this would more should I do to the engine to get more power? I was thinking headers, and intake, throttle body spacer and maby a chip to start things off. I dont want to go crazy and cam it out, put diff pistons in it and other stuff like that at the moment.
Can anyone help me out?

since your goin with a tb spacer, you should buy a tornado and an electric supercharger too.

Just remember that an engine is nothing more than a complex air pump. So anything you do to maximize your air coming in and going out is going to increase performance. THe duel exhaust is a good start, but I would recommend that you have it dueled out from the exhaust manifolds. That takes care of the exhaust for awhile. Now you need to increase the intake side to match the exhaust. A good cold air intake is a good next step. Or a bigger throttle body. A good chip is something I would do after that. Other things you can do before cam and pistons would be intake manifold, headers, clutch to electric fan, ignition upgrades.
The tb spacer is a waste of money unless you have a carb. or a tbi system, which you dont. Think about this, if the car manufactuer could get 5-10 hp out of a little piece of aluminum and get better gas mileage, they would. Same goes for the tornado.
By the way to get a true cold air setup with our daks is to go with a functional scoop hood. It gets the most dense air and it looks cool.
I know some good parts manufactuers for some of the stuff you want, if you want it.
