does it smell like coolant? if it does then it's your heatercore. if not then theres a leak somewhere.

Hi seekingland,
I just had a similar problem on my 2005 QC and I saw where the water was coming in. It seems the water gets caught between the two rubber seals around the door (outer one along the top of roof to front of window) and inner around the door cutout. When it can’t find a way to run down between the two seals it will push behind the door cutout seal and run behind the two plastic panels that cover the footwell area (up to underside of dash) and from underside of dash to upper side of dash. There is a gap in between them (at underside of dash height) and you can check there by squeezing a tissue in there. It should be wet after a rain. I have monitored my leak and it has not happened again in two weeks despite heavy rain. It seems that it only happens when the door seals get jammed and there is not enough flow to the bottom. Hope that helps.

Both of these are viable solutions. Let's just hope it is the door seal, because the heater core replacement is not only a PITA, you will have to dish out some $$$ for a new one.
