I am very partial to the new Dakota, there are some things I really like about and thing I really hate. The 2001-2004 Dodge Dakota models I have always thought that they were the best looking of the Dodge trucks. The 2001-2004 Dodge Dakota dash layout, is by far the best in any truck or car out there in my opinion.

I say give me a 2005 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4.7L HO "MAGNUM" V-8 4X4 chasis w/ a 2004 Dodge Dakota Club Cab SLT 4X4 body and interior, and just slap on the 2005's badging and we got ourselves a real winner!

The only thing I really like about the new Dakota is the interior, it looks really nice. But other than that I like the 2004 body style.

 

I second that... I prefer the 04 with the 05 interior... The 05 looks surprised looking at it from the front... LOL!

I like the 04's body style much better than the 05 as well, especialy since from what I read all the 05's have the chrome bumper and grill, no painted option and the chrome doesn't as sporty to me, a little chrome trim like what they did on the magnum and 300 look nice, but they just put to much of it on the trucks.

 

See I am the opposite, I love chrome on trucks... to me they look more up scale.

Actually I think the only one that will have a chrome bumper is the Laramie...the SLT and ST will be available in black or body color from what I read...

they are thinking make it look like the new ugly durangos...thats what...It was a tossup b/t waiting a year for the 05 for the HO and lil suicide doors (club cab) or get one with style...i opted not to wait...05s are too ugly...

 

I agree with pretty much everyone else, love the 05 int, but the body is hideous!
