V6 gas mileage???
I have a 2004 with the 3.7 V6. 18-19 city, 24 highway, with 1800 miles on the engine. Your gas milage can improve greatly by changing one thing... your driving habits. Drive like you have a raw egg under the accelerator, and coast to your stops, and your milage will improve. Mash the accelerator, and you'll pay at the pumps.
Just bought my first truck. 2003 Dodge Dakota 4X4 with 23,000 miles. 6 cyl auto. I can't pass a gas station without stopping to fill. It runs great. Nice and smooth. But the gas mileage is lousy. I watch the needle move. City driving is the worst. I'm using 87 octane. Any ideas or do I live with it? If not for this... I love the truck. Thanks
